FAITH Network Summit & Co-sponsorship of Training Programs

To promote strategies that enhance the development and sustainability of community-campus partnerships, the FAITH Network convenes health, community, and faith leaders across Arkansas in an effort to raise awareness and eliminate health disparities in underserved populations. Prior collaborations for the summits and trainings have included the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, the Arkansas Department of Health, Arkansas Department of Human Services, Baptist Health, Arkansas Minority Health Commission, and the Blue & You Foundation.

FAITH Network Research Advocate Training Program

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute Engagement award has supported the translation of the FAITH Network research advocate training into Marshallese and Spanish languages.

National Leadership Academy for the Public’s Health – Cohort #7

The FAITH Network participated in the seventh cohort of the National Leadership Academy for Public’s Health program funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The National Leadership Academy for the Public’s Health is a national program focused on improving population health by working with multi-sector leadership teams and training the teams through an applied, team-based collaborative leadership development model. The leadership team members represent the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, St. John Baptist Church and the Arkansas Department of Health.

2018 – NAMI Walk

The FAITH Network organized a team to walk in the event and raise funds for the National Alliance on Mental Illness mission.

2018-19 Clinton School of Public Service Practicum Partner

Clinton students served to identify mental health resources in Pulaski County and detect best practices to disseminate the information to the faith community.
