ABOUT US
The FAITH Network is a partnership between communities of faith, community-based organizations, and researchers that focuses on improving the health of underserved communities in Arkansas. Based upon principles of community engagement, the FAITH Network helps communities respond to needs by building the capacity of faith leaders and researchers who take ownership of improving health in their own communities.
As such, we are committed to improving health through:
Research
- Increasing the participation of communities of faith in Arkansas in health related research
- Providing training in patient centered research
- Connecting members of the faith community to researchers nationwide
Education
- Providing access to evidence-based health promotion and education programs to communities of faith
- Serving as a hub of educational resources for any faith community interested in improving the health of their congregation and community
Unity
- Partnering with and working alongside organizations, regardless of religious affiliation, that share our ultimate goal of improving health for underserved communities in Arkansas.

FAITH Network Advocate Research Training Program
The goal of our FAITH Network Advocate Research Trainee Program is to build faith community capacity to engage in partnered comparative effectiveness research (CER) and patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) by providing continuous training opportunities specific to the needs of the faith community. This provides the opportunity for faith leaders to build upon the concept of “community-building-community”. Faith leaders with PCOR experience serve as mentors and advisors to those faith leaders who are new to PCOR. The training program includes both theory and practice.
